Privacy rules

These privacy rules clarify the reasons and ways in which Base58 Ltd (hereinafter: “Base58”) processes your personal data.

Base58 protects and retains your personal data in conformity with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Law on Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Types of data processed

Personal data will be collected for distinctly defined and legitimate purposes and will not be processed in any other way than in accordance with these purposes.

Base58 collects personal information primarily to ensure the quality of service and to respond more effectively to inquiries from our existing and potential clients and customers.

Open job applications

Base58 gathers open job applications from applicants who are interested in working with the company when there are no vacancies. Only authorized Base58 employees have access to personal data submitted via open job applications. Each applicant’s data will be stored for one year, starting from the date of receiving the application.

Job application process

Base58 processes the personal data of applicants and all the files containing the applicant’s personal data will remain in the company’s database until the job application process finishes. After the job application process has finished, Base58 will keep the personal data from the selected applicants, who will sign a work contract with the company as well as personal data from those candidates who have agreed for their data to be stored in the company’s database for one year since their application. Only authorized Base58 employees have access to personal data submitted via job applications.

Purposes, legal basis for processing and possible consequences of non-disclosure of personal data

Your personal data will be processed due to:

  • legal regulations which require certain procedures
  • the fulfillment of contractual obligations, pre-contract agreement actions
  • Base58’s legitimate interests unless there are greater interests involved or in cases of protecting Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms

If we are not able to process your information on the given legal basis, Base58 will ask for your consent. In that case, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Contingent upon consent withdrawal, you must notify Base58’s Personal Data Protection Officer at the following e-mail address: gdpr@base58.hr. The withdrawal of consent will in no way affect the lawfulness of processing based on the consent given before its withdrawal.

Your rights

In accordance with data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • rectify or access data
  • restrict processing of your data
  • transmit your personal data
  • file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency)
  • object to processing your information for marketing purposes at any time
  • know the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your personal data will be disclosed

Security practices

The security of your personal data is of utmost importance to us, and thus we have set up appropriate physical, electronic, and management procedures to protect the data we collect. Nevertheless, due to the inherent and open nature of the internet, no online data transmission is completely secure. Hence, we can neither guarantee nor warrant the security of all information you disclose or transmit to us online.

To the utmost extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for any damages you might incur due to loss of or unauthorized access, misuse or any alteration of information processed by Base58.
